The Technology Lead will manage the digital team in designing and delivering highly scalable and impactful digital tools across a broad range of programs in the areas of: Financial Inclusion, Entrepreneurship, and Digital Literacy. The candidate should be passionate about the economic and social empowerment of Myanmar people through technology.
 
Key Activities: The Technology Lead (TL) has primary responsibility for ONOW digital solutions. This includes mobile apps, chatbots, content management systems, security, and integration with client and partner technologies. Running a cohesive team and high structured development processes are key.

Working with Management to Rapid Prototype Solutions with User-centered Design Principles
Converting strategic vision into technical specs and product roadmap
Leading the digital team in day-to-day alignment of strategy and tasks
Designing Appropriate and Accessible Tech Solutions (Low literacy, Minority Languages, Low Tech Versions)

PERFORM OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS NECESSARY

Qualifications:
Full stack development experience
Has led teams in product development
Values Data security and Quality Documentation
Constantly Exploring and Learning, passionate about improving entire team
Ability to understand target users and choose most appropriate tech
Emphasis on prototyping and QA
Skillfully working with clients for needs assessments and customer journeys
 
Skills Needed:
Communication: Native Burmese, Strong English verbal and written
Software Languages: PHP, Node.js, Java, Python
Architecture: Database (MySQL, PostgreSQL), Cloud Servers, Data Security
APIs and Webhooks
Content Management Systems (Drupal, Joomla, custom PHP)
Organized and Detail oriented
Familiar with data analysis and visualization is a plus

Reporting and Management
This position reports directly to the Director team. The Technology Lead will base in ONOW’s Yangon Office, but may travel for field studies.
