Senior Web Developer
Job Description
Purpose: ONOW Myanmar is a leading social enterprise in Myanmar. Join ONOW in the development of innovative and exciting FinTech and EduTech solutions. The Senior Web Developer will work in a team to design and deliver highly scalable and impactful digital tools across a broad range of programs in the areas of: Financial Inclusion, Entrepreneurship, and Digital Literacy. The candidate should be passionate about the economic and social empowerment of Myanmar people through technology.
Key Activities: The Senior Web Developer (SWD) will be responsible for ONOW web solutions frontend and backend integration. This includes mobile apps, content management systems, security, and integration with ONOW chatbots and with client and partner technologies. Working within a cohesive team and high structured development processes are key.
- Disciplined design and coding following SDLC
- Working with Management to Rapid Prototype Solutions with User-centered Design Principles
- Converting strategic vision into technical specs and managing workflow
- Designing Appropriate and Accessible Tech Solutions (Low literacy, Minority Languages, Low Tech Versions)
Qualifications:
- Experience developing web applications and web integrations
- Values Data security and Quality Documentation
- Constantly Exploring and Learning, passionate about improving entire team
- Ability to understand target users through User Testing and choose the most appropriate tech
- Emphasis on prototyping and QA
- Skillfully working with clients for needs assessments and customer journeys
Skills Needed:
- Communication: Native Burmese, Moderate English verbal and written
- Software Languages: Laravel PHP, CSS, JSON, Javascript, Node.js
- Architecture: Database (MySQL, PostgreSQL), Cloud Servers, Data Security
- APIs and Webhooks
- Learning and Content Management Systems (Drupal, Moodle, Joomla)
- Organized and Detail oriented
- Ready to learn new technology to fit project needs
