About the role
We are looking for hands-on Java Leads with 4-7 years of experience. You will be responsible for developing applications using Spring / Spring boot, Hibernate with JPA.
You will be responsible for developing the complete product as per the functional specifications.
You will be responsible for handling clients to gather requirements. You’ll be managing a team of about 2 to 5 (possibly more) members, and coordinating with the clients.
You will be working on products which have various components like Backend, APIs, DB, Frontend, Android as well as iOS applications.
You will have direct access to the clients and will have the responsibility for the timely delivery of the project.
Please note that this is a completely hands-on position, and you are expected to code about 80% of your time.
You will assist the project manager in identifying, assessing and mitigating project risks of any kind.
Our Expectations:
You should have strong work ethics.
You should have a strong understanding of frameworks in Java Universe like Spring, Hibernate, any other ORM tool, Play Framework, and others.
You should be a hands-on developer who can build the complete products using Java and related technologies on his/her own.
You should be strong with Databases (Any).
Exposure to the front end technologies like TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular, Knockout, React etc is a strong plus.
Willingness to travel to client locations (national/international) at short notice for short (or possibly long) durations.
Exposure to Mobile application development is a strong plus.
Ability to work under pressure and deliver the projects in tough timelines. You must have experience of distributing assignments within a team, track the progress and intervene timely if delivery risks surface.
You will also prepare the daily/weekly status, participate in Sprint Planning and help the team members.
Required Skills
1. Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science or IT) or Diploma Holder.
2. The responsibilities include gathering requirements, working with business analysts, production support and developing new functionality, as well as keeping the applications up and running in high-availability production environment.
3. Candidate must be strong understanding of techniques.
4. Organizational skills sufficient to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of constantly changing business priorities.
5. Good communication skills in English.
