Job Description
Purpose: ONOW Myanmar is a leading social enterprise in Myanmar. Join ONOW in the development of innovative and exciting FinTech and EduTech solutions. The Senior Android Developer will design and delivering highly scalable and impactful digital tools across a broad range of programs in the areas of: Financial Inclusion, Entrepreneurship, and Digital Literacy. The candidate should be passionate about the economic and social empowerment of Myanmar people through technology.
Key Activities: The Senior Android Developer will be lead developer for ONOW mobile solutions. This includes mobile apps, content management systems, security, and integration with ONOW chatbots and with client and partner technologies. Working within a cohesive team and high structured development processes are key.
- Disciplined design and coding following SDLC
- Working with Management to Rapid Prototype Solutions with User-centered Design Principles
- Converting strategic vision into technical specs and managing workflow
- Designing Appropriate and Accessible Tech Solutions (Low literacy, Minority Languages, Low Tech Versions)
PERFORM OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS NECESSARY
Qualifications:
- Significant experience developing Android applications
- Values Data security and Quality Documentation
- Constantly Exploring and Learning, passionate about improving entire team
- Ability to understand target users and choose most appropriate tech
- Emphasis on prototyping and QA
- Skillfully working with clients for needs assessments and customer journeys
Skills Needed:
- Communication: Native Burmese, Strong English verbal and written
- Android SDK
- Software Languages: Java, PHP, Node.js, Python
- MySQL, PostgreSQL, JSON
- APIs and Webhooks
- Content Management Systems
- Google Material Design
- Organized and Detail oriented
