DSS Corp is looking for a senior level contractor who has a demonstrable portfolio of Ruby on Rails projects focused on heavy data handling and ecommerce. A candidate must be able to read and understand technical specs in English as well as attend meetings to verbally communicate any progress and issues along the project.

Following are the requirements:

-3+ years of experience as a software engineer handling large volumes of concurrent traffic using Ruby on Rails

-3+ years of experience with some or all of our existing stack is plus: jQuery, CoffeeScript, Bootstrap, MySQL and ElasticSearch

-Writing scalable, globally distributed and multi-language applications

-Knowledge of algorithms, data structure, web technologies, and cross-browser compatibility issues, distributed systems, cloud platforms (e.g. AWS or in-house), open-source databases (e.g. Mongo, Hadoop, Kafka or others.) is a huge plus.

-1+ years of recent hands-on development and/or DevOps experience with Amazon Web Service. Candidates must have strong experience with multiple AWS services.

Internationalization/Localization knowledge and experience a strong plus

-Written and/or maintain a Rails plugin is plus

-Experience with node.js, react.js and similar technologies desired but not required

-Familiarity with revision control systems, especially Git.

-Good communication skills (written and verbal)

-Works well in teams and collaborating

Working Time : 9.00 to 6.00

Working Day : Monday to Friday (Public Holiday off)

Working Venue : Remotely now, but office is in Hledan Township
