RESPONSIBILITIES
The Product Manager is responsible for the technical and commercial development of the Golden Paddy Crop Insights (GPCI) portal. The GPCI is Impact Terra’s main B2B product. Customers include financial institutions, input manufacturers and crop trading organizations. They use the platform to monitor past, present and future crop performance and identify key farming risks, such as extreme weather events, pest/disease outbreaks, floods and droughts. This allows these customers to set strategies, optimise operations and mitigate risks.
The Product Manager is responsible for the development, deployment and maintenance of the portal. The Manager continuously incorporates customer feedback, internal feedback and learnings from industry benchmarks into the product. The Product Manager researches best practices for interface (UI/UX) and service development, manages development efforts (from UI/UX design to front- and back-end development) and ensures business and customer requirements are met. This includes translating customer requirements into product features, defining the product roadmap, and working closely with engineering, sales and marketing to ensure superior value is delivered to customers.Project and/or program management, including reporting and maintaining partnerships.

- Own and maintain a clear product strategy and roadmap to guarantee an effective decision making process with the CEO and Management team
- Drive development of user services, including use cases, service models and required product features to deliver these services
- Drive technical development of the product, including design, development, user acceptance testing and deployment
- Drive commercial development of the product and services, including pitching the product to customers and on-boarding customers to the product
- Ensure product-market fit, speed to market and cost to market
- Coordinate with Farmer Services Department, including senior agronomists
- Coordinate with Product Development Department, including developers, and UX designers
- Coordinate with Business Development Department, including sales agents
REQUIREMENTS
- Preferably based in Yangon, Myanmar – remote work can be discussed
- Demonstrated success in project management for delivering software products
- Demonstrated success in user-centered design, ensuring value creation for users
- Demonstrated success in designing, developing and operating products at low-cost
- Strong understanding of front-end (web) and back-end (Java, Python) technologies
- Excellent vendor management practices
- Ability to liaise with customers, ranging from financial institutions and agricultural companies to non-governmental organizations (NGOs)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership capabilities
