Purpose

The Junior Developer will work with the digital team to design and deliver highly scalable and impactful chatbots across a range of programs in the areas of: Financial Inclusion, Entrepreneurship, and Digital Literacy. The candidate should be passionate about the economic and social empowerment of Myanmar people through technology.

Reporting and Management
This position reports directly to the Product Owners

Key Activities
The Chatbot Developer will design, build and maintain ONOW’s market leading financial and entrepreneurship chatbots in cooperation with the Product Owners. The Chatbot Developer will work with the software team to integrate new features between chatbots and backend infrastructure.

- Design and build Chatbots based on Product Owner requirements
- Work with digital team to Rapid Prototype Solutions with User-centered Design Principles
- Use JSON and APIs to interact with databases
- Regular debugging and maintenance of chatbots
- Continuous learning of new developments in Chatbot technology, platform changes, and Social Media integration requirements
- Design Appropriate and Accessible Tech Solutions (Low literacy, Minority Languages, Low Tech Versions)

Skills Needed
- Detail oriented
- PHP, HTML, CSS
- JSON
- Familiar with Databases and Queries (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Familiar with APIs
- Can type Zawgyi, Unicode and English
- Experience in Chatbot platform a plus (Chatfuel, Manychat, etc)
Optional: Android
