Job Description
Who we be looking for?
You live and breath with Droids and have a way around its ecosystem. You understand how Android APIs work and know when you use a library or make yourself a helper class to give your app more performance. You are an expert in methodologies like MVVM and Clean Architecture. Kotlin or Java you will grab whatever is the best for a particular problem although we prefer Kotlin here in the house.
You are open to change and eager to work with tools and technologies that may be outside your comfort zone and that doesn't mean we will kill your sugars and give you frogs back home. But who doesn't need a little rush every once in a while?
What you be doing?
- Design, propose and implement Android Applications and Services which will run on our products uniquely crafted
- Design, propose and implement Flutter based applications hacking both sides of the platforms, Flutter and Native
- Design and implement modular services inside our products accessing barcode 1d/2d readers and a bunch of hardware through HAL APIs
- Design, propose and implement automation flows from our VCS to customers premises devices so that your delivery work
- Use GRPC to send out data from your end to our reporting systems and also use the same protocol to fetch user-requested report data-sets
- Test coverage should be above 50% and 70% is the sweet spot here
- Help the product team to design and craft best UI/UX apps with your Android Ninja Skills
Which qualifications?
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent program from an accredited University/College
- 2+ years of hands-on experience delivering Android OSS Applications and Services. Preferable some AOSP knowledge.
- Strong self-initiative, passion, interpersonal skills, and adaptability to new technology
- Hands-on development of high quality, highly distributed cloud infrastructure with proper QOS practice
- You are precise with numbers and formats in such an example 12:00PM and 00:00AM doesn’t confuse you and also understand how the internet works in a fundamental level
- Demonstrated skills in a wide variety of languages especially Kotlin and Java
How to stand out?
- Show previous experience with developing android services at scale +Firebase, MLKit and AOSP
- Demonstrate delivery of complex projects in previous roles +Apps +Design +Services
- Track record of crafting well-designed solutions and delivering low-latency software on Android
- Experience analyzing data to study other Android Applications and Services and foresee potential areas of improvement
